Radiology/Imaging Facility Planning services are available to clients that are:

• Designing a new facility
• Expanding current services
• Remodeling an existing facility

MSM provides specialized equipment and space planning for Diagnostic Radiology, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Special Procedures/Heart Cath Lab, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Radiation Oncology, Mammography and Lithotripsy. Planning includes overlying systems such as picture archiving and communication systems, computed radiography, radiology information systems, laser printer/image processors, daylight systems, etc.

MSM interacts with the architectural firm, physicians, Director of Radiology/Imaging and other healthcare professionals to create a cost effective design to meet the needs of the patient and staff. This is accomplished through experienced staff:

• Offering an operational perspective in evaluating various design models
• Critiquing manufacturer's and architectural equipment layouts
• Providing essential recommendations to reduce costs for change orders and redesign
• Evaluating equipment interfacing involving multiple manufacturers and the impact on facility design and productivity
• Facilitating the planning process to maximize the benefits and reduce costs to the client
• Participating in the schematic design and design development phase of the project to incorporate features that benefit the patients, physicians, management, technologists and support staff
