Credentialing Coordinator

MSM is currently seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to join our Contracting and Credentialing team. Under the general direction of the Director of Contracting or their designee, the primary duties and responsibilities of the Credentialing Coordinator are to provide administrative support to the contracting and credentialing services to MSM clients. Duties may also include: coordinating health plan and IPA credentialing/re-credentialing requests; coordinating government provider applications; assisting with hospital privileging and/or reappointment applications; coordinating out-of-state physician licensing and/or coordinating rate analyses. Tasks will be specific to the scope of service defined by each MSM client.

Essential Duties

  • Health Plan/IPA Credentialing and Recredentialing
  • Coordinate/Assist with Hospital Privileging and/or Reappointment Applications
  • Input/Maintain Contracting/Credentialing Database
  • Coordinate/Assist with Acquiring Practice Documentation
  • Assist with Rate Analyses and Contract Updates/Notifications
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Two or more years related health care experience and/or training; some college preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with physicians and all levels of management in a professional manner.
